   language experience programme.

Welcome to Ascensus

We invite you to participate in a unique language experience programme.

In today’s world, good communication skills in a foreign language are increasingly important for successful business and social interaction. To help you meet that global challenge, Ascensus offers you authentic language learning experience and cross-cultural exchange with native speakers from around the world.

Our three, five or seven-day programmes are designed to meet your language needs and give you all the benefits of total immersion. Language retention is three times more effective than in the classroom and you will gain confidence in your linguistic abilities. Away from the stress of daily life, you are free to focus on your objectives and reach your language goals more efficiently.

Join us for a wide range of activities and talk face-to-face to experienced native speaker trainers in beautifully located seminar hotels in the heart of Switzerland. We are looking forward to having you with us.

The Idea of Ascensus

  • Have you recently relocated to Switzerland and feel at odds with the German language?
  • Is English becoming the “lingua franca” of your company?
  • Are you planning to relocate to an English-speaking country?

Whatever your needs, we can help you break the language barrier with our all-German or all-English language experience. Programmes include a wide range of cultural and social activities, as well as individual language tuition to enable you to work more effectively in a cross-cultural environment and to ensure a better return on your training investment.

Programmes are held in carefully-chosen seminar hotels. The 7-day programme also includes a trip to England, or Germany or Austria.

German Language Experience with qualified native speakers

Individual tuition, group discussions and conversations with native speakers in an all German-speaking environment for 3, 5 or 7 days.

During this time you will be conversing in German only.

Social German is a difficult aspect for most non-native speakers and expatriates.

What is appropriate? How do I say it? Does it sound good?

Our full immersion programme helps you to improve your fluency and comprehension as well as accuracy. You will also have the opportunity to interact socially, discussing a wide range of topics. Trainers change groups regularly ensuring you maximum benefit of hearing different accents and dialects.

Mornings are devoted to individual tuition and conversation.

After lunch, a variety of activities are offered to encourage group interaction.

Evenings are reserved for social events.

We will always be there, ready to guide and assist you in obtaining your language goals.

English Language Experience with qualified native speakers

We believe that course book English often stays right there, in the book. We take it “off the page” and personalise it, giving you a head start. Spoken English has many facets and differs greatly from the written word. Conversing appropriately in social situations is your most important asset, both in business and private life. In fact, they say that more business is done outside the boardroom than in!

Whether you need English for international business or are thinking of relocating to an English speaking country, our programme is designed to meet your requirements.
